Will I need to see another dentist for my implants?
No. Dr. Advani places and restores implants himself here in our office, so you don’t need a referral to a specialist.
How long does implant placement take?
Placing a single implant usually takes an hour or less, including reviewing the procedure and aftercare. You can drive yourself home and eat a soft diet for the first three days.
Can I get implants if I have bone loss?
Often, yes. Bone grafting or a sinus lift can strengthen the jaw so it can support an implant. Dr. Advani evaluates your bone with a CT scan.
Does insurance cover dental implants?
Most plans cover a portion of the implant and crown, commonly around 50%. We can call your insurance company and tell you exactly what is covered.
What can I eat after implant placement?
A soft diet is recommended for at least three days, such as yogurt, oatmeal, and bananas. You can eat a couple of hours after the procedure, once the anesthetic wears off.
