Why Choose Us

Oral surgery by your family dentist

While many offices refer extractions elsewhere, Dr. Advani is highly trained in oral surgery and removes wisdom teeth and broken teeth right here, in a safe, familiar environment.

An extraction may be needed when a tooth is too damaged or decayed to save, or when wisdom teeth come in incorrectly.

  • Impacted wisdom teeth causing pain or swelling
  • Crowding or shifting of other teeth
  • Teeth broken beyond repair
  • Hard-to-clean teeth that keep getting infected

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Call Now (847) 472-0236
Should I remove all four wisdom teeth at once?

Dr. Advani recommends it. You go through numbing, treatment, and healing only once instead of several times.

What age is best to remove wisdom teeth?

Between 15 and 21 is ideal. The teeth aren’t fully formed and the bone is less dense, so removal and recovery are easier. A school break is a great time to schedule.

Are tooth extractions painful?

With modern techniques and anesthesia, you are unlikely to feel anything except some pressure. We provide medication for any discomfort afterward.

Does everyone need their wisdom teeth removed?

No. Some people’s wisdom teeth come in easily. Others get stuck (impacted), causing pressure, swelling, and decay. Dr. Advani can check yours and recommend what’s best.
